Monica Tucker is a dynamic leader, visionary entrepreneur, and devoted community advocate whose life’s work is a testament to empowerment, equity, and service. Originally from Illinois and a proud resident of El Paso, Texas since 1996, Monica has spent over two decades shaping and influencing the cultural, entrepreneurial, and social landscapes of the Borderland and beyond.

As a military spouse, mother of two adult children, grandmother, and active member of the Fort Bliss and El Paso community, Monica’s journey has been deeply rooted in service to others. Her lived experience within a military family has shaped her into a passionate voice for military spouses, veterans, youth, and historically marginalized communities.

ENTREPRENEURSHIP & VISIONARY LEADERSHIP

Monica is the founder and CEO of Mocha Enterprises, a multifaceted brand that includes media, consulting, talent management, and community empowerment initiatives. Her entrepreneurial reach extends across several impactful platforms she founded.

She is also the Co-founder and Co-owner of Civiq Legacy, a new venture launching in 2025 in partnership with retired Army Warrant Officer Howard Covington, designed to preserve and uplift local leadership legacies.

In 2025, Monica became President of the Phillis Wheatley Civic Club of El Paso, having been a dedicated member since 2020. She is also the founder of the Black Leaders Alliance, a soon-to-launch nonprofit committed to advancing Black leadership and collaboration.

Monica co-founded Sisters of Inspiration in 2009 with longtime colleague Tondaleya Shamley, a faith-grounded sisterhood supporting women’s growth and impact. She is also a proud member of the El Paso Black Business Network and the newly launched El Paso Military Spouse Leaders Network, an organization dedicated to retired and veteran service member spouses.

COACHING, STRATEGY & REPRESENTATION

As a certified life coach, procrastination coach, life consultant, and brainstorming expert, Monica supports others as:

Through her work with Abeliant Group, she serves as a lead speaker representative and advisor, guiding creatives and emerging leaders to achieve their professional goals with clarity and purpose.

FAITH-BASED LEADERSHIP & COMMUNITY ENGAGEMENT

Monica is an active member and teacher/minister at Transforming Faith Ministries, where she spreads the Word through online platforms and in-person ministry. She is the founder of Level Up Bestie, a women’s empowerment and personal growth initiative for military spouses, veterans’ spouses, and women of all backgrounds – recently expanded to include a men’s cohort.
